During the midst of the of the Covid 19 outbreak and shelter in place, there are positives that are still occurring all the time. One of those positive is that Daniel Omah, a Wylie High School senior, has signed his National Letter of Intent with Texas Tech University, the reigning National Outdoor Track and Field Championship Team.

Omah drew the attention of the school with his meet record 60 meter performance at the high school indoor invitational that the university hosted earlier this winter. Omah also ran the 4th fastest 100m time in the state and 5th fastest in the nation before the season got cut short.
